Discrimination at workplace and forced resignation

I was forced to resign from my job. I thought I share with you what happened. As you already know I worked for a NGO for 3 years the NGO deals in helping underprivileged kids in slums. My job involved going into the slums of Mumbai and teaching kids spoken English. I was good at my job, I worked sincerely, there was lot of data work and many facility was not provided by the NGO like papers, printers, sound system, laptops, internet connection. I used to spend money from my own pocket and buy things like paper, sound system etc and use my house laptop and net connections for getting the NGO work done.

But the Project Head had a issue with my lack of interpersonal skills and communication skills. But my job was of 6 hours out of which there was continuous 4 hours teaching there wasn't much need of communication or interpersonal skills here. since each teacher had to do their own work. Wherever team work was involved like conducting annual day, sports day, republic day or independence day functions we mutually cooperated and did a good job. There was no case of complaint but finally during appraisal the Project Head called me and she lambasted me for around 2 hours accusing me calling me names, making false allegations, I was bewildered and I had informed her earlier I have social anxiety problems due to bad childhood abuse issues.

She was merciless and continued insulting even though I was crying bitterly she said that only progress I have made in 3 years is that I have started smiling. After so much hard work and giving my best shot all I got in return was insult, humiliation finally I resigned it was a forced resignation. Whatever happened was it justified also I wanted to share the apathy of people with social anxiety and how they are treated by so called civilized society
